What we do
We provide autologous stem cell therapy and stem cell conditioned medium. Everything is prepared and administered at our clinic in Tokyo.
A small amount of fat is taken from your abdomen. The stem cells are cultured at our in-house facility for four to six weeks and then returned to your body by intravenous infusion.
The substances released by cultured stem cells — growth factors, cytokines and exosomes — are purified and given intravenously, nasally or by inhalation. It contains no cells.
Regenerative medicine in Japan is governed by the Act on the Safety of Regenerative Medicine, which sets out which institutions may provide it and under what procedure. We have filed the required notification with the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare.
This notification is not the same as approval of a pharmaceutical product under the Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices Act. We distinguish between the two when we explain the treatment.
Planning your visit
The cells have to be cultured for four to six weeks between harvesting and infusion. You go home during that time.
You can speak with our physician online before booking flights. We will review your symptoms, previous tests and current medication, and tell you whether the treatment is likely to be appropriate for you.
A small amount of fat is taken from the abdomen under local anaesthesia. This is a day procedure — no hospital stay is required. Allow one to two days in Tokyo, including the consultation.
Your cells are cultured and quality-checked at the cell processing centre inside our clinic. You return home during this period. No travel is required.
The cultured cells are administered by intravenous drip. The infusion itself takes about 30 minutes. Allow one day in Tokyo.
Conditioned medium is different. Intravenous, nasal and inhalation treatments involve no harvesting and no culture period, so a single visit is enough. If you have limited time in Japan, this is worth discussing at the online consultation.
Treatment is administered at our clinic in Japan. We do not ship the preparation outside Japan.

Questions
17 questions, grouped by the stage you are at.
For stem cell therapy, twice. The first visit is for the consultation and fat harvesting; the cells are then cultured for four to six weeks while you return home; the second visit is for the infusion. For conditioned medium (intravenous, nasal or inhalation), a single visit is enough.
One to two days for the first visit and one day for the second is usually sufficient. Neither procedure requires a hospital stay. We recommend allowing an extra day in case scheduling needs to change.
This depends on your nationality and the length of your stay. Many visitors come on temporary visitor status, which does not require a visa for short stays from some countries. If you need documentation for a Medical Stay Visa, please tell us well in advance so we can discuss what is required.
Yes. We offer online consultation, and we recommend it before you book flights. The consultation fee is ¥5,500 (tax included), the same as an in-person first visit. If the physician concludes that the treatment is not appropriate for you, we will tell you so before you travel.
Telephone support is available in Japanese only. Please contact us through LINE or email, where we can respond in writing. If you need language support during your visit, please tell us in advance so that we can make arrangements.
Stem cell therapy uses your own cells, taken from your fat and cultured before being returned to your body. Conditioned medium uses the substances released by cultured stem cells; it contains no cells. They differ in cost, preparation time and the number of visits required.
It is provided under a notification filed with the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare in accordance with the Act on the Safety of Regenerative Medicine (Notification No. FC3230067). That is not the same as approval of a pharmaceutical product under the Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices Act. We distinguish between these two things when we explain the treatment.
No. Outcomes vary between individuals, and some people notice no change. We do not tell patients that they will be cured or that improvement is certain. We explain what can and cannot reasonably be expected before you decide.
Yes. Careful assessment is needed for anyone with active cancer, a serious infection or fever, an autoimmune disease in an active phase, or who is pregnant or breastfeeding. If your symptoms have not yet been investigated by standard testing, we will usually ask you to do that first.
No. Regenerative medicine is not a replacement for standard medical care and is not a reason to stop treatment you are already receiving. Please bring a list of your current medication so that we can assess whether anything needs care.
The first consultation is ¥5,500. The first course of stem cell therapy consists of two infusions and costs ¥3,850,000 in total (fat harvesting and cell culture ¥220,000, first infusion ¥1,980,000, second infusion ¥1,650,000); including the first consultation the total is ¥3,855,500. Third and later infusions are ¥1,650,000 each. Conditioned medium starts at ¥55,000 with an administration fee of ¥11,000. All prices include Japanese consumption tax.
No. All treatment at our clinic is self-funded and is not covered by Japanese public health insurance. Overseas insurance policies do not usually cover it either, but please check with your insurer.
Cash and credit cards are accepted: JCB, American Express, Diners Club, Discover, VISA, Mastercard and UnionPay. A receipt is issued for each treatment. Please tell us in advance if you wish to discuss instalments.
No. We give you the treatment plan and the confirmed cost in writing so that you can take it away and think about it. We do not set deadlines to press you into a decision.
Treatment is provided in Japan. We do not ship the preparation outside Japan. Stem cell conditioned medium is not an approved pharmaceutical product, and the export and import of unapproved biological preparations is restricted or prohibited in most countries. If you live in Japan, home delivery within Japan after an online consultation may be possible. If you live outside Japan, please raise this at the consultation so that the physician can explain what is realistic for your situation.
For the infusion visit, we ask that you allow time to rest after the procedure and recommend not flying on the same day where possible. After fat harvesting, please avoid strenuous activity for a few days. Your physician will give you specific guidance.
Contact us through LINE or email. If you have severe symptoms, please seek medical care where you are first, and then let us know.
